Fused Silica (SiO2) Windows

Better performance from UV to IR spectrum than BK7 windows

Transmission wavelength range from 0.185 to 2.1μm

Fused silica is the amorphous form of quartz crystal.  Advantages of fused silica material include the extremely good transparency from UV to IR, low coefficient of thermal expansion, large resistance to thermal shock over large temperature excursions, wide thermal operating range and high laser damage threshold.

Our fused silica windows are fabricated from high quality fused silica glass. Such as Corning HPFS 7980, 7979, 8655 and Heraeus 312, Chinese JGS1, JGS2, JGS3 etc. An extremely large range of thickness from 0.15 mm to 300 mm is achievable. Various high quality HR, AR, and partial reflective coatings are available upon request.
